Is a car wash ceramic coating the same as a professional ceramic coating?
No, and it would be misleading to say otherwise. A detailer's ceramic coating is applied by hand to a decontaminated, polished surface, cures for hours, and lasts years. What we apply is a ceramic-infused sealant that goes on in the tunnel in seconds and lasts weeks. It is a much cheaper way to get most of the water beading and gloss, and it is not a substitute for a professional coating.
How long does the ceramic and graphene protection last?
Expect a few weeks from a single Ultimate wash, depending on weather, how far you drive and whether the car sits outside. It builds up with repeated washes rather than wearing off all at once, which is why most people running the Ultimate are on the monthly plan.
What does graphene add over ceramic on its own?
Graphene sealants tend to sheet water off a little more aggressively and hold gloss slightly longer in heat, and they are less prone to the water spotting that ceramic alone can leave in hard water. Utah water is hard, which is why we run both rather than one.
Which wash levels include ceramic and graphene?
Both are in the Ultimate, our top wash, at $26 for a single wash or $40.95 a month unlimited. The Platinum below it includes Aqua Shield and Flash Wax with a 24-hour rain guarantee, but not ceramic or graphene.
What is the 48-hour rain guarantee?
If it rains within 48 hours of an Ultimate wash, come back and wash again free. Bring your receipt or use your Unlimited plan. The Platinum carries the same guarantee for 24 hours.
Will it hurt an existing wax or coating on my car?
No. These are sealants that layer on top. If you already have a professional ceramic coating, an Ultimate wash will not strip it, and the pH-balanced soap we use in the tunnel is safe over it.
