Prices and plans

How much is a car wash at WaterWorks Express?

Single washes run from $11 for the Express to $26 for the Ultimate. The Works is $17 and the Platinum is $20. Prices are the same at both of our West Jordan locations, and every wash includes free use of the self-serve vacuums with no time limit.

How much is an unlimited car wash membership?

Unlimited monthly plans start at $20.95 for the Express and go up to $40.95 for the Ultimate, with the Works at $30.95 and the Platinum at $34.95. A plan covers one vehicle and is valid at both WaterWorks Express locations in West Jordan.

How many washes do I need for the monthly plan to be worth it?

Two. Every plan pays for itself on the second wash of the month. An Express plan at $20.95 costs less than two $11 washes, and an Ultimate plan at $40.95 costs less than two $26 washes. Anything after that is free.

Do you offer a discount for more than one car?

Yes — every additional vehicle is 20% off. The first car pays the standard monthly price and each one after that is discounted, all on one bill. Two things have to be true to qualify: every vehicle has to be on the same wash package, and they all have to be billed to the same debit or credit card. So a household running two cars on the Ultimate qualifies; one car on the Ultimate and another on the Express does not. If you want different wash levels on different cars, they are simply separate plans at the standard price.

Do you sell wash booklets?

Yes. Buy five washes and the sixth is free, so a booklet of six costs the price of five. An Express booklet is $55, a Works booklet is $85, a Platinum booklet is $100 and an Ultimate booklet is $130. Booklets are bought in person at either location rather than online, and the washes never expire — so a booklet suits anyone who washes occasionally and would rather not run a subscription.

Booklet or monthly plan — which is better value?

It depends how often you wash. A booklet works out cheaper than singles, never expires and has nothing to cancel, so it suits roughly one wash a month — just note it is bought in person at either location. An Unlimited plan pays for itself on the second wash of the month, so from twice a month upward the plan wins comfortably, and it can be set up online.

Membership

How do I cancel my unlimited plan?

Manage or cancel your plan online at waterworksexpress.patheon.app. For questions about your next billing date or when cancellation takes effect, contact your location.

Does my membership work at both locations?

Yes. One plan covers you at both the 9000 South and 7800 South locations in West Jordan. Both have a members-only lane.

Can I pay for several months up front?

Yes. We sell prepaid memberships in 3, 6 and 12 month terms, bought in person at either location rather than online. There is no discount for prepaying — the price is the monthly rate multiplied out — so people usually do it either as a gift or because they would rather not have a card on recurring charge.

How do I join or manage my plan?

Join or manage an Unlimited plan online at waterworksexpress.patheon.app, or sign up at the pay terminal at either location. Contact your location for questions about when a plan change takes effect.

The wash

Are the vacuums really free?

Yes, and there is no timer. The whole self-serve area is free with any wash: vacuums, clean towels, glass cleaner, interior cleaner, compressed air hoses and mat cleaners. There are 16 vacuum stalls at 9000 South and 20 at 7800 South. You can stay as long as you need.

How long does a car wash take?

Wash and wait times vary. Both locations run express tunnels — 180 feet at 9000 South and 150 feet at 7800 South — and you stay in your car the whole way through. Vacuuming afterwards is free and untimed, so that part is up to you.

What is the rain guarantee?

If it rains within 24 hours of a Platinum wash, or 48 hours of an Ultimate wash, come back and wash again free. Bring your receipt or use your plan.

Is the car wash touchless or does it use brushes?

Neither, in the way most people mean. There are no bristle brushes anywhere in our tunnels — we use neoprene foam, a soft closed-cell material that is gentle on paint but still lifts road film and winter salt off properly, which a chemical-only touchless wash struggles to do. The foam is maintained and replaced on a schedule so it stays clean. Our 7800 South location can also run touch-free on request — just ask an attendant before you pull in. That is worth knowing if you have a wrap, a fresh respray, a classic, or anything else you would rather nothing touched at all.

Do I have to dry my car myself?

No. Every wash finishes through our Hurricane Drying System — thirteen blowers backed by three one-million-BTU burners — so you drive out dry.

Vehicles

Can you wash a truck or a large SUV?

Yes. Both tunnels take standard pickups and full-size SUVs. The limit is height: 9000 South clears 7 feet 4 inches and 7800 South clears 7 feet 2 inches, so if your vehicle is taller than that at its highest point it will not fit. Measure to the top of whatever sticks up highest — a roof rack, a light bar, an antenna or a raised roof — not to the roofline. Lifted trucks and oversized tyres are the usual ones that catch people out. If you are close to the number, call ahead — 9000 South is (801) 569-3399 and 7800 South is (801) 679-9436 — and we will tell you honestly.

Can I wash a car with a roof rack or bike rack?

Racks need to come off before the wash. Anything projecting from the roof or the back of the vehicle can catch in the equipment. Cross bars alone are usually fine but call first if you are not sure.

Do you clean molded plastic floor mats?

Yes, at both locations. Our 7800 South location has a WeatherMat all-weather mat wash and dry system for WeatherTech, Husky and similar molded plastic liners — feed the mat in face down and it comes back washed and dried, so that is the easier option if you are choosing between the two. At 9000 South, just ask an attendant and they will pressure wash your mats off in the tunnel for you. Same result, and it is free either way; the mats come back wet rather than dried. Both locations also have free carpet floor mat cleaners for fabric mats, and 9000 South has two of those.

Practical

What are your hours?

9000 South is open Monday to Saturday 7am to 8pm and Sunday 8am to 6pm. 7800 South is open Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm.

Where are you located?

We have two locations in West Jordan, Utah: 2764 W 9000 S, West Jordan, UT 84088, and 2514 W 7800 S, West Jordan, UT 84088.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, and every card carries 20% more value than it costs. Pay $25 and the card holds $30; pay $100 and it holds $120; pay $300 and it holds $360. Gift cards never expire. Buy one online at waterworksexpress.patheon.app and it arrives digitally within minutes, or call in at either location and buy a physical card to hand over. Either way it is spendable at both locations on single washes or on anything we sell in store, and it cannot be put towards a membership or a wash booklet.

Do gift cards or booklets expire?

No. Neither gift cards nor wash booklets expire, so there is no rush to use them up and no value lost if you forget about one for a while.

Do you have accounts for business fleets?

Yes. Fleet accounts start at ten vehicles with a $100 monthly minimum. Each vehicle gets an RFID sticker, drivers wash without cards or codes, and every wash goes onto one monthly invoice. Discounts scale with fleet size. Call (801) 569-3399 to set one up.

Who owns WaterWorks Express?

We are locally owned and operated in West Jordan, with more than thirty years in the car wash industry. The business grew out of Jax Car Wash, which our founder bought before opening WaterWorks Express on the same 9000 South site in 2010.

Still have a question?
