9000 South

About our 9000 South car wash

The 9000 South wash runs a 180-foot express tunnel, long enough to take a car from road-salt grey to dry in a few minutes without you leaving the driver's seat. It replaced Jax Car Wash on this corner in 2010, and it is where WaterWorks Express started.

There are no bristle brushes in the tunnel. The equipment runs neoprene foam — a soft closed-cell material that is gentle on paint while still lifting off the road film and winter salt a chemical-only wash leaves behind. It is maintained and replaced on a schedule so it stays clean.

Sixteen vacuum stalls sit alongside the exit, free with every wash and with no timer running. Take as long as you need. Clean towels, glass cleaner, interior cleaner, compressed air hoses and two carpet floor mat cleaners are all out there too, at no extra cost, whether you paid $11 for an Express or you are on an Unlimited plan.

Running WeatherTech, Husky or another set of molded plastic liners? Ask an attendant and they will pressure wash them off in the tunnel for you, free. They come back clean but wet — if you would rather have them washed and dried in a machine, that is the WeatherMat system at our 7800 South site.

Every wash finishes through our Hurricane Drying System — thirteen blowers backed by three one-million-BTU burners — so you leave dry rather than trailing water down 9000 South.
